Controversial new giant sculptures - including Venus, Neptune and two lions - have been installed at the gates of Málaga port.

It is the work of sculptor Ginés Serrán and is called Las Columnas del Mar.

The sculptures will be there for six months according to local media.

In the YouTube video below, you can see the sculptures in all their glory!

We're talking some large scale statues here - the two lions are almost two metres tall, the Venus stands at eight metres and Neptune is the big daddy of them all, at over 11 metres!

The installation has provoked some strong criticism already, with some saying they look out of place in the middle of a historic city centre. Could turn out to be a marmite kind of thing.
